Reviews are very positive:

This amazing application is a masterpiece and could be a new trend.

You really need to try the app to see exactly how good it is.

This app worked well and quickly. I took a photo of a few products from my cupboard and it identified them immediately, and offered access to the internet to learn more.

I then turned the can a bit and it started recognizing bits of text from
nutritional information and all sort of stuff. I pointed my phone into the
fridge and it told me I had Tropicana Orange Juice, I turned it a bit and here was Lucern Milk. astounding.

Talking Goggles gives you amazing possibilities. We are constantly improving the app further, please contact us on [email protected] for any comments or suggestions.

Talking Goggles - a camera with speech (free) app good for

. . Hello. First of all, thank you for this great app. As a blind person, I have used Goggles a lot. However after last update some critical problems have occurred. Below you will find some of them. 1. The reading voice has changed with last update. But the new reading voice has problem in spelling some words in turkish. Thus, there should be an option to use iOS built in voices as in previous version. 2. The new photograph description feature is very well but, now, the simultaneous reading capability seems broken. Most of the times I am using goggles to read some thing on the screen or something in front of me outside. And it was exciting. But now, when I try to monitor some thing, instead of reading something, it starts photograph description although I dont need. thus, photograph description or text recognition should be able to be chosen by the user. If I wish description, I should choose only this or the opposite. 3. I cannot understand when video mode starts and wen ends. In previous version, there was a sound indicating it. 4. The buttons seems unlabeled sufficiently. So, please put more explanatory labels. Again thanks for this great app. I am very happy to hear that you are continuing developing Goggles. I hope it will be more exciting in the future.

This app has come a long way since being published. It is a general purpose recognition app for objects and text. While it is capable to do OCR and objects, it pales in comparison to those apps that focus on just recognizing one particular item, like just OCR or just products. However, the free price and even the .99 price makes it a must download.

Theres no need to write a review, the title of my review says it all
Google Goggles was absolutely flawless. Regrettably it is no longer available but it was the most incredible research tool that we have ever used. This one, flying under a false flag of "Goggles", not so much. The novelty of the speaking app is only worthwhile when it is delivering real information. This app looks at a book cover and returns "book". Show a portrait you want to identify and it returns "hairstyle". Perhaps it is uncharitable to say so but its a pity that there is no way of entering zero stars.
I was able to figure out the celebrities name just by taking a picture on my phone. Crazy!
I really like being able to take a picture of an item and then being able to find the best price.
